I'd offer to help, but I'm at the end of a slow pipe, out in the  
sticks, visiting family at the moment. I even gave up downloading your  
relatively small .avi as it killed the network here and was going to  
take 7hrs! Ouch (and this is in the UK).

As a Mac user, with access to FCP, to be honest iMovie is fantastic  
for this kind of quickie (slice, dice, titles, transitions, music). I  
should really screen capture and create some Sugar videos too (both  
for youtube and dailymotion delivery) but I'm spread rather thin just  
now.

My Father's been doing the same with old cellulose, and VHS formats ;-)
