As you say it in this way, it is not quite right.
For sure we did research and development, as well as design and other 
tasks, as it is usual and have to be done in the first phases of every 
project. Otherwise it is not possible to create such a concept at all, 
obviously.
Also, it is absolutely common to announce a concept, project or product 
in an early stage without showing anything. So see our announcement as a 
short abstract of what is called a whitepaper.
