unfortunately, there hasn't been a lot of progress made on your
questions. So much of the entire OLPC platform is still being designed
and written (speaking just after an 8-hour design review today!) that
the team simply hasn't had the time and mental bandwidth to focus on
issues not in the critical path.

I absolutely plan to address these issues before we ship, but for now,
almost the entire attention of the core team is on having something to
ship in the first place. So, please hang in there for a bit longer.
