[Systems] server side backup procedures.

I is quite straight forward to set up duplicity on individual clients using
puppet, based the the information at
http://wiki.sugarlabs.org/go/Sysadmin/Add_virtual_machine .
1. create a ssh key
2. set some configs.
3. ssh into sugarbackup at backup.sugarlabs.org
4. set up client side cron job.

Are there steps which must be taken on the backup server to bring machines
into the pool?  Are there steps which should be taken when removing machines
from the pool?
