If so, we should probably adopt the contingency plan to cope with the
traffic when schools reopen in LatAm, which, I'm being told, is as soon
as Jan 23th.

How much effort would it be to configure two additional instances of
aslo-web on treehouse and housetree, to serve requests in addition to
sunjammer?

A single instance of the proxy and database could run off sunjammer,
which is a relatively stable machine. This half-cluster should be almost
as reliable as the present configuration, with roughly 3 times the
processing power.
