Yes.  Known problem.  Don't use 0.98.

Yes.  Don't use 32-bits.  Check that command "uname -i" shows x86_64
only.

http://wiki.sugarlabs.org/go/Ubuntu has link to our installer image,
1.2 GB, for 64-bits.  You can use that installer to check your hardware.
