What do you mean by "strange"?  Was the image good?  Could you see the
image content?  What does "file /tmp/pippypic.jpg" say?

I was not suggesting that the problem would be fixed, but rather trying
to gather information about your system.  Pippy does not need
gst-launch, it calls gst directly.

I agree.  Cannot Control/C to copy out of Pippy output window.  I have
raised #3253 for this.

Meanwhile, you might use Alt/1 to make a screenshot to Journal.
