<walterbender> question about protocol: when should people be
reassigning ownership of tickets in Trac? It seems a lot of tickets
have had their ownership changed of late when someone unilaterally
decides they'll work on a bug, before the work has been done. This
seems broken to me.

having people working on the same stuff but whoever becomes the owner
needs to really take care of it not just plan to

you should first put you on cc

I'd add that a brief discussion with the current owner would be good
practice just to make sure everyone in on the same page.
