Thoughts
1.=C2=A0 The first is the magic words in marketing are: NEW, IMPROVED and MO=
RE.
2.=C2=A0 The second is that the word =E2=80=9Cplatform=E2=80=9D is so static=
, which is a negative for this project.=C2=A0 How about using a word like=20=
=E2=80=9CENGINE=E2=80=9D that conveys power and movement?=C2=A0 Even =E2=80=
=9CENABLER=E2=80=9D is stronger than =E2=80=9Cplatform.=E2=80=9D
3.=C2=A0 The third, as Walter knows, is my dislike for the current company n=
ame =E2=80=93 SUGAR =E2=80=93 as in my opinion it has no marketing value, an=
d in fact can be a negative for being associated with OLPC.=C2=A0=20
=C2=A0
Also there=E2=80=99s one school of thought to state a benefit. =C2=A0In this=
case, what is our most important benefit to users?
Suggestions
As a result I offer these suggestions for the team to consider, play with, m=
ix and match, and even trash, if it will bring more energy and excitement to=
this naming process:
A.=C2=A0 The New Engine for Improved Education and Literacy
B.=C2=A0 The New Enabler for Faster Learning and Energetic Teaching
C.=C2=A0 The New Paradigm for Useful and Usable Learning=20
Also consider revisiting=C2=A0our=C2=A0marketing approach in terms of what c=
omes first and second, between Strategy
and Tactics.
