Hi Folks,
The Sugar Labs winners for the Google Code-in have been announced. You will find them listed with the other 18 winners at the Google blog here: http://google-opensource.blogspot.com Some of you may have met one of them, Ignacio Rodríguez at Ciebal JAM in Montevideo… you'll probably recognize the t-shirt! Below is a copy of the email that has been circulating (with lots of added congrats) on the olpc-Sur list.
A translation of the message:
"ciebalJAM is proud and happy that Ignacio Rodríguez is one of the winners of the Google Code-In competition!
"Ignacio represented Sugar Labs in the competition and, as his prize, will travel to Google in California where he will be introduced to the Google campus, be put in contact with engineers, and participate in an award ceremony. He will also be introduced to the city of San Francisco."
Maybe some of the folks from the Bay area can help welcome him and Sugar Labs other winner, Jorge Alberto Gómez Lopez from El Salvador.
