[IAEP] Problems!

I forgot to mention... before the reflash I was not able to get this machine to go to Open Firmware to reset the time (pressing esc while booting). All the other machines would do this even if their clocks were off. That's why I brought it home to try a reflash. No change. It still won't.

Subject: [IAEP] Problems!

Hi Folks,

Having trouble with one of the CP machines that was stored in a closet for about a year and thus had time problems (thought it was 1999) The rtc battery needed charging. Today I charged it all day (turned on) and then reflashed it. Up to this time it had worked fine, except for the date.

Now it has the correct date in GMT (without having to set it) but I can't get into "My Settings" to put in the local time. The settings screen is "greyed" out and will not respond. I was able to access it before the reflash and once after.

Another problem that just started with the reflash is a repeating 2 that appears over and over... without touching the 2 key, e.g. 22222222222222222222222222

It wasn't doing this before the reflash either.

One of the OLPC SoCal library machines had the same repeating 2 problem. None of the other machines reflashed with this particular USB stick (about 20) had this problem.

Any idea what is going on? Any quick fixes? Should I just download 874 again, make a new usb, and reflash again?
