Welcome to the group Mark. 

I'm going to suggest you take a look at 
http://wiki.sugarlabs.org/go/Math4Team/RIT/Projects to get an idea of 
what's been created so far.  But feel free to pick up where someone left 
off or build your own team around you. 

Are you in Buffalo NY?  If so, there will be some stuff going on in 
Rochester this summer with the RIT co-op students and I'm sure they 
could use a hand if the other ROC Volunteers don't get working on a 
project soon.
