What Martin's patch does is to flush the cache everytime you connect to a
new network. I thought it was the same problem too, but obviously is not
(otherwise Martin's patch would have fixed it before we could notice it). I
tested it anyways before calling gio.File, just in case, but it did not
work. Maybe gio.File uses other cache for the hostname resolution? I am
reading the documentation, can't find anything useful yet.
