Dave Crossland just gave me access to the repo so I merged my own fix.

https://github.com/sugarlabs/sugar-toolkit-gtk3/pull/317

Please try again updating your sugar-build - GTK2 activities should work
again.

I'm very open to improve the fix, if somebody cares to comment it.
