[Sugar-devel] Printing my FLOSS Manuals for OLPC

I have my three manuals on CreateSpace and the proof copies look great.
Unfortunately, these books are easiest to get where they are least likely
to be useful. In particular, I want *Como Hacer Una Actividad Sugar* to be
available in South America.

Someone was interested in using my cover design for *Make Your Own Sugar
Activities!* as a basis for the cover of a book he was creating. He wanted
to have copies of MYOSA and his own book available for a conference he was
attending. I had to tell him that the cover art for MYOSA is not mine to
give, so he'll need to get permission from the artist to use it. I also
thought about how he could get copies of MYOSA in a timely manner since
this conference would not be in the United States.

What I have done to try and address this is I have included the front and
back cover images for all three books in the downloadable files for those
books on archive.org. You can easily find these books by doing a search
for "nicestep". That will list out all my donations to the Internet
Archive. Each book has the PDF and the front and back cover image you'll
need if you want to print off copies locally. If possible, my name should
be on the spine of the book along with the title. If you think you can
make money selling these, go for it and prepare to be disappointed. Let me
know how you do in any case. I will not ask for a cut of your profits,
should there be any. The books are licensed so anyone can print them that
wants to.

Just remember that the cover art should *only *be used for those particular
books, unless you get permission from the artist Oceana Rain Fields. You
might be able to contact her through Rebecca Malamud of the Rural Design
Collective.

If you want to use the same font for your own book cover it is a free font
called ChunkFive and you can get it from the font squirrel website.
