I know it is possible to have multiple consecutive comment lines in a
PO file.  As for how to get gettext to parse it out of the Python for
you, I would have thought it would be something like

/* first line text */
/* second line text */
/* third line text */

To appear in the PO file as

#. first line text
#. second line text
#. third line text
