Personally I didn't find the concept of copying an object already in the Journal, to the Journal, a very obvious/discoverable metaphor for creating an object duplicate. We obviously need a nice icon for the duplicate option, as well as something better for clipboard. I'll try and send a couple of suggestions to this thread later.
