[Sugar-devel] Why cannot collections of ---.xo files on a USB stick be run without installation in sugar?

I have an idea for a better Sugar Design:

Why cannot collections of ---.xo files on a USB stick be run without
installation in sugar?

Currently if one clicks on an .xo file on a USB stick in the left bottom
of the frame area (after it retracts) it installs and then runs the .xo
application.

If this install did not occur, a large number of activities could be
stored on the stick and not loaded.
And would not permanently change the sugar installation.

One could build groups of activities for different age
groups;deployments; (languages?) .

The Sugar Desktop could then used by different students running from the
same sugar install.

These would be used from discreetly labeled (Individual) sticks.

There could possibly be a switch in f3 list view to switch to a USB
source (If present) or Internal installed activities (default).
The available activities would then be displayed in the f3 list view
from the selected sugar or USB source.

3rd option: could access a CD of ...xo files?

The journal then becomes the next problem....If used by multiple students..

Just an idea....
