Hi All,

This has been implemented in the 10.1.3-au series by bring up the
network as a system connection[1], much like how NM 0.9 is managed for
sugar 0.95[2]. The configuration is handled with nm-connection-editor
saving the config file in /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/ in a
format that is much like what sugar would save in connections.cfg which
now can(should?) be blank. In a nutshell, if NetworkManager can
configure the connection, the network is supported, hidden SSIDs
included. On a note about NM 0.9 patches, it appears any connections
that exist in connections.cfg will be automatically transferred over,
but I can't confirm that right now.
