Absolutely. I think (and from my experience I know) that having more 
maintainers is the right approach. The more people that take 
responsibility the better. And it is helpful if tasks, issues can be 
discussed between the maintainers.

Please feel free as well to have a look at other open source projects 
and ask maintainers how they feel about it, I am sure you will get 
similar comments.
