Oh yeah... some time ago we agreed to fold the Keep function in a popup
menu within the Stop button, and rename it to "Keep a Copy".

This is a huge topic. I do agree that the Journal UI will need to be
overhauled in the future, but I'd rather not discuss it in this thread,
which is about trivial UI simplifications. How about creating a Feature
page with a full specification of the new UI you're proposing?
