[Sugar-devel] Emulation Wiki pages and images

I have created two pages on the Sugar Labs Wiki, Qemu and Emulator
images, to try to tie together all of the available information on
running Sugar and School Server in emulation. If you know anything
about the matter, please review these pages and add any further
details or corrections.

In several cases, the best information I have about particular kinds
of image is quite out of date. I don't know whether more recent images
are available, or who might be working on these issues. In particular,
I would like to see images for the latest Sugar 0.84 on Fedora, and
for the latest sugar-jhbuild on either Fedora or Debian. I am running
the instructions at
http://wiki.sugarlabs.org/go/Live_CD#In_Debian_systems to see what it
builds right now.

The reason I am interested in all of this is that I am unable to find
any way to run the latest Sugar Actvities reliably on my Ubuntu
laptop. I get random build errors and runtime problems every time I
rebuild sugar-jhbuild. The XO is excellent for its purposes, but I
find that I cannot use it as my primary development machine for either
software or textbooks.
