Comment:

 Thanks.  However.  Works for me, closing notabug.

  * the failed to start with "Stop" button can be recalled by using the
 frame (key f6 or mouse gesture), then select the pulsing icon from the top
 of the frame,
  * even if a previous failed to start is present, an new instance of the
 activity can be started, which will either start properly (if the cause is
 resolved), or fail again (if not),
  * in both situations, the "Stop" button can be used to remove the failed
 to start.

 Tested with XO-1.5, Fedora 18, Sugar 0.107.0 plus all patches on master
 branch.
