 The voodoo was missing on my side: the MANIFEST was stale. I've now

 fix_manifest calls to the build phase in sugar-jhbuild. We're going to
 [https://patchwork.sugarlabs.org/patch/64/ get rid of MANIFEST support]
 anyway.
