Comment:

 whats the use case? I tried:
 |Usecase|
 - open new Terminal instance
 - type "mkdir /tmp/foo; cd /tmp/foo"
 - open new tab and type "rm -rf /tmp/foo"
 - switch to the 1st tab
 - I can create new(3rd) tab
