Comment:

 This just happened to me in Rawhide. I noticed that we are installing
 pygobject in the jhbuild install directory, and running make uninstall in
 the pygobject directory fixed the issue for me. Is pygobject required ? I
 believe the version of pygobject we are installing is somewhat older than
 what Rawhide, etc ship with, which is probably triggering the issue.

 Can't we use the pygobject shipped by the distros ?
