Hi Suman,
I'd like to know who you think was chosen without any contribution to our
software, if you
can't say their names publicly, feel free to send their names to me.
We can't tell you how to write your proposal, we have a template which is
supposed to give you an idea.
That's why we ask folks to send their proposals here to be reviewed, lots
of the folks who did got a response.
A good proposal isn't expected to be perfect, it's expected to communicate
an idea as clearly as possible,
we also ask for your contribution to our software because that gives us an
idea of your capabilities with
regards to making changes to our software.
That being said, do remember we can't accept everyone and so we have to
choose who we want to work with,
and that's not clear and straight forward sometimes, so we don't just focus
on the proposal, we also consider
why we think someone would be a great fit.
Hope this helps! Looking forward to your contributions!
