this resulted in this error for me:

python(abi) = 2.7
Even after installing Python-2.7.tgz.tar with make install,
Python 2.7 (r27:82500, Aug 19 2010, 18:44:48)
[GCC 4.4.4 20100630 (Red Hat 4.4.4-10)] on linux2
