Please read the attached transcript of a chat I had with them. last week

Some judgment calls will need to be made about whether to try the
single jump to the latest (possibly un-released) version or whether a
two stage migration (first from current install of 2.0.5 to say 2.1 or
2.2 to be followed by another jump when a further stable is released
soon) .  I'm open to suggestions an  experimentation.
