DenyHosts was running in daemon mode again. I can only guess that it has
been started by UpStart. The environment was minimal and contained no
hints; the parent process was already gone.
I've deactivated the DenyHosts init script by calling
"update-rc.d denyhosts disable" (not "remove", that would cause the
symlinks to reappear on every update). Let's hope this gets rid of
DenyHosts in daemon mode.
