One of the key considerations for setting up aslo at rit is a having a stable fallback plan.  The current plan is to continue to run aslo on tree house and add an additional web node on treehouse for additional capacity.

Phase I.  Enable mod_proxy_load_balance to intecept requests to activities.sugarlabs.org and redirect them to activities-lb*.sugarlabs.org.  Tested

Phase II.  Add plumbing to make the mod_proxy php session aware.

Phase III. Bring up additional web node on treehouse.

Phase IV. Add the the web-node on treehouse to the loadbalancer as activities-lb1.sugarlabs.org.

This approach has a couple of strengths--
1. All state is stored on sunjammer.  No need to back up the web node.
2. All critical paths remain on sunjammer.  If treehouse dies, mod_proxy on sunjammer will detect its absence and remove it.
