Hello from Paraguay,
can we please add this reverse?
140.186.70.106 PTR translate.sugarlabs.org
And as we're there, it would be nice if you could delegate the entire
classless subnet to us.
Instead of the more traditional "many glue records" kludge, I propose
adding the following few lines to the 70.186.140.in-addr.arpa zone file
(assuming you use BIND):
$GENERATE 100-129 $ NS ns1.sugarlabs.org.
$GENERATE 100-129 $ NS ns2.sugarlabs.org.
$GENERATE 100-129 $ NS ns1.codewiz.org.
; glue records for the above nameservers
ns1.sugarlabs.org. A 140.186.70.102
ns1.sugarlabs.org. AAAA 2002:8cba:4666::1
ns2.sugarlabs.org. A 140.186.70.53
ns2.sugarlabs.org. AAAA 2002:8cba:4635::1
ns1.codewiz.org. A 83.149.158.210
ns1.codewiz.org. AAAA 2002:5395:9ed2::1
This delegation technique, which I never personally tested, is described
here:
http://homepages.tesco.net/J.deBoynePollard/FGA/avoid-rfc-2317-delegation-example-2.html
Rationale for preferring this method over the fancier one is here:
http://homepages.tesco.net/J.deBoynePollard/FGA/avoid-rfc-2317-delegation.html
If delegation isn't viable, these are our current IPv4 mappings:
treehouse A 140.186.70.100 ; EXTREF
;-free- A 140.186.70.101
lightwave A 140.186.70.102 ; bernie

beamrider A 140.186.70.110 ; bernie

etherpad A 140.186.70.112 ; cjb
buildslave-ubuntu-lucid-amd64 A 140.186.70.115 ; silbe

aslo-web A 140.186.70.123 ; dfarning, alsroot
;aslo-db A 140.186.70.125 ; dfarning, alsroot
We also have corresponding AAAA records for 6to4, but I have no idea how
the reverse is supposed to work for those.
Our full zone file is available for reference here:

This is one reason why valid reverse records are desirable:
