Seems to have been started by the Debian package scripts, during the 
upgrade done by bernie:

sunjammer:/proc/3289# cat environ|tr '\0' '\n'

DPKG_MAINTSCRIPT_PACKAGE=denyhosts
[...]
SSH_AUTH_SOCK=/var/run/screen/S-bernie/byobu.ssh-agent
SUDO_COMMAND=/usr/bin/nice ionice -c 3 aptitude -V -D -Z dist-upgrade
[...]


I've killed the daemon again.
