Hi Bernie,
You previously expressed an interest in the Skype For SIP Beta program.
While Skype for SIP Beta is still in development, we thought youd be
interested in a similar project called Skype for Asterisk that is
currently running with Digium®.
Skype for Asterisk is being made available, by Digium, as an open beta
until August 7th, 2009. The license keys will expire on 31st August,
2009 before going live. Skype for Asterisk is an add-on channel driver
for Asterisk-based PBX systems. Adding Skype for Asterisk to an Asterisk
server enables access to Skypes great features such as low-cost calls
to landlines and mobiles and free calling to more than 400 million
registered Skype users.
Please note that only business accounts can be used with Skype for
Asterisk. Business accounts are created within the Business Control
Panel.
Key features enabled by Skype for Asterisk are described below. Please
note that paid for products are available to the extent you select and
purchase them through the Business Control Panel.
Make free Skype-to-Skype calls.
Make low-cost calls to landlines and mobiles.
Receive calls from landlines and mobiles.
Make and receive multiple concurrent Skype calls from the same Skype
account.
DTMF support for incoming and outgoing calls.
Supports G.711 and G.729 (included) codecs.

* Important: Skype for Asterisk is a Digium product and all enquiries,
feedback and comments should be directed to Digium using the contact
details from the link provided. Skype for Asterisk is not linked in any
way to Skype for SIP, which is a Skype product.
