After installing the native Fedora or Arch Linux, we would be able use empty by<div dir="auto">```</div><div dir="auto">python3</div><div dir="auto">>>> import empy</div><div dir="auto">```</div><div dir="auto">But, Ubuntu distributions have a special symlink to empy, so If a manual build goes on, I guess it searches in /usr/bin, for empy or empy3, although it's installed as a python module, it is not detected on build. this was workaround'd in the easiest way by me on Fedora:</div><div dir="auto">* convert the working DEB (Ubuntu version) to RPM. </div><div dir="auto">on Arch Linux</div><div dir="auto">* convert the working DEB to PKG (using debtap)</div><div dir="auto">Installing the modified python-empy version derived from the Deb package, helps to create the symlink without changing the package itself. </div><div dir="auto">See <a href="https://github.com/sugarlabs/sugar/issues/896">https://github.com/sugarlabs/sugar/issues/896</a> for information on the link.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Finally, about the error, the error can be temporarily ignored until it's fixed on the #896 on sugar repository, the package is installed successfully, you can proceed with the rest of the steps. </div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">If a solution for it is found in future on #896, it can be removed the usual way, removing all of the remnants of the installation.
