I just tried it again and still get a segfault. What desktop

Great, I just got it to work too! If you hadn't told me it worked I
would've given up. The segfault was when trying to connect to my
(XFCE) session manager.<br>
I had to clear out the env variable SESSION_MANAGER before it would
work. I wonder how window management works under broadway, as I
haven't found any docs. The first issue is Activity windows don't
use the entire browser space.<br>
