<div dir="ltr"><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div>G'day Anish,<br><br></div>Just a quick explanation of these projects. They are all based around existing activities (apps) available for sugar. These activities are written in python, so can only run in sugar and not on the web. The tasks are all about making a HTML5 version of these activities.<br><br></div>I would recommend setting up a development environment [1] and then downloading the activities you mentioned:<br><br></div> Physics: <a href="https://activities-2.sugarlabs.org/view/org.laptop.physics">https://activities-2.sugarlabs.org/view/org.laptop.physics</a><br></div> Turtle 3D: <a href="https://activities-2.sugarlabs.org/view/org.laptop.TurtleArtActivity3D">https://activities-2.sugarlabs.org/view/org.laptop.TurtleArtActivity3D</a><br></div> Basic activities: You can use the search box... hopefully it doesn't break between now and when you get the email :) <a href="https://activities-2.sugarlabs.org/">https://activities-2.sugarlabs.org/</a><br><br></div>Also, about turtle3D, it would be interesting trying to keep it compatible with XO. The XO does not support OpenGL and has no hope for WebGL. Could you get compatibility for those environments?<br><br></div>Thanks,<br></div>Sam<br><div><div><div><div><div><div><br>[1] <a href="http://developer.sugarlabs.org/dev-environment.md.html">http://developer.sugarlabs.org/dev-environment.md.html</a><br></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote">On Thu, Mar 5, 2015 at 11:39 PM Anish Shah <<a href="mailto:anishshah101@gmail.com">anishshah101@gmail.com</a>> wrote:<br><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex"><div dir="ltr"><pre>Hi,
I am Anish Shah, from India. I am a student at BITS Pilani college and was
keen to do a GSoC project with Sugar Labs.
I am a javascript developer and a UI/UX designer with working knowledge of
C, Java and Python.
I did my GSoC last year with the Public Lab with the project on Image
transformations using javascript: <a href="http://publiclab.org/profile/anishshah101" target="_blank">http://publiclab.org/profile/anishshah101</a>
My Github profile link: <a href="http://github.com/anishshah101" target="_blank">http://github.com/anishshah101</a>
I had a look at the ideas page and a lot of projects got me interested!
both in feature additions as well as ports. The most fascinating ones
seemed to be "Turtle Blocks 3D javascript" , "Physics JS" and "Sugar Web
based activity set"
I thought it would be a good idea to get in touch with the mentors to know more about these projects and for some
pointers to get started on these projects.
Looking forward to hearing from the community.
Regards,
Anish Shah</pre></div>
