The current problem is that I am unable to clone any of the repository due to insufficient permissions. First, I'm going to try building gnome3-lite and hope that all necessary requirements are added to this laptop. Second, I can only access through public wireless. I have a ssh-dsr public key uploaded.
This next part may be asking too much; but, is there anyway someone could create a tar.gz or tar.bz2 of the repository? I could use wget or ftp to download and then build from that.
I think that building the base parts of sugar first would be more realistic- at least in my case.

Thanks muchly.

On Tue, Feb 5, 2013 at 6:49 AM, Daniel Narvaez <dwnarvaez@gmail.com> wrote:

When you "make build" you will surely get a message about missing
dependencies. That should also give you an idea of what is required.

If you really can't install some deps (like for NetworkManager), you
will have to edit the files in config/deps to remove them. If you are
able to get it to work we can then integrate these changes.

Since this has never been tested on freebsd, In some cases you will
likely get false negatives (stuff which is installed but sugar-build
thinks it's not). If you give me a list of those, we can figure out
how to make checks work on freebsd too (I have never used freebsd
before, so you will need to help me out :P)
