There is an additional goal in mind, which is to use Music Blocks as a
stepping stone towards getting children interested in text-based
programming languages. The thesis is that by converting their block-based
constructions to a text-based language, they may be tempted to look at the
source and start to tinker with it. Looking at the source of Music Blocks
itself is a bit overwhelming. But presumably the JavaScript source of their
exported code could be made more approachable.
