Welcome to SugarLabs!
Glad to hear that you are interested to contribute to SugarLabs. Since you
have experience mostly with front-end development, I would suggest you jump
to some javascript related repository on https://github.com/sugarlabs/.
There are a lot of PRs currently open and you can choose any of them
according to your skills which are not being worked upon by anyone else.
