Agreed, Sugar Live Build cannot be built within macOS alone.

But you can use Parallels or VMware or VirtualBox to install a Debian
Stretch virtual machine and do the build inside that machine.

However, the mounted filesystem list on the screenshot doesn't look
like macOS, it looks like an Ubuntu Live Build environment.

So doubly confusing.

You probably don't need to build Sugar Live Build, as we have built it
already, but if it has broken due to changes in Debian please do
provide pull requests.

Sugar Live Build does not use /usr/bin/env directly.
