<satellit> MrBios: Do you have edit rights for
https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//work/tasks/3476/39683476/root.log
<MrBIOS> that’s not an editable file
<MrBIOS> why do you want to change it?
<satellit> if so edit out the 2 activites with (-) in the kickstart file
<satellit> then sos should build
<satellit> soas
<satellit>
https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//work/tasks/3476/39683476/koji-image-f32-build-39683476.ks
<MrBIOS> satellit: ah, then you should report that. No, I can’t edit
that kickstart.
<MrBIOS> which packages need to be removed?
<satellit> see root log
<MrBIOS> that’s not really an answer
<MrBIOS> I see python2-simplejson
<MrBIOS> that’s the only package issue I see
<MrBIOS> satellit: python2-simplejson has been removed from Fedora as a
package, it no longer exists, only the Python 3 variant.
<satellit> PM
<MrBIOS> see above, removing those things won’t fix the build
<satellit> they call the missing package I think
<satellit> countries and labyrinth
<satellit> put - in front od ks
<satellit> of
<satellit> I think   also james eemed to agree
<satellit> who can do this?
<MrBIOS> got it, it makes sense now. I do not believe anyone other than
pbrobinson can modify it
<MrBIOS> if I had permissions to do it, I would be happy to try.
<satellit> please ask him?
<MrBIOS> he’s here, in channel.
<satellit> pbrobinson ^
<MrBIOS> so, the packages are sugar-labyrinth, sugar-countries, and
sugar-toolkit?
* llaske has quit (Remote host closed the connection)
<MrBIOS> and of course python2-simplejson
<satellit> maybe just the first 2 then augar-toolkit will not get called

I'm happy to decode this for you.

1. the sugar-toolkit package is Python 2 and GTK 2 only and is no
longer required once all dependent packages are removed,

2. the Labyrinth activity has been ported to GTK 3 (in 2015), but a
release has not been made, so next action for Sugar Labs is to
stabilise and make a release, which then allows Fedora to package it.
Alternative is for Fedora to drop it.

3. the Countries activity has been ported to Python 2 and GTK 3 (in
2015), and then to Python 3 (on 18th November), but there are issues
blocking release, so next action for Sugar Labs is to fix those issues
and make a release, which then allows Fedora to package it.
Alternative is for Fedora to drop it.

Volunteers welcome!
