Announcing v0.5.0 of gst-plugins-espeak, the Sugar Labs voice
synthesis plugin for GStreamer and espeak, written by Aleksey Lim.
The plugin is used by the Frame and toolkit, and also by the Clock,
Speak, Memorize, Story, Words and Turtle Blocks activities.

Release notes;

- a fix to data type of pitch and rate get property methods,
  contributed by Malcolm Jones of Adobe,

- a port to espeak-ng 1.49, while retaining compatibility with espeak
  1.48, for Debian 10 Buster and Ubuntu 17.10 Artful.

(Fedora is unaffected, but may take the opportunity to switch to
espeak-ng).
