Thanks Laura.

I'm surprised, as this is the first I've heard of this need, yet the
thread goes back to 13th June. It must have begun on a
non-development mailing list.

OLPC can provide advice for any developers making a custom build for
XO laptops. The advice is part of our normal practices. To ensure
the latest translations are in a build, the steps are;

- translations to be pushed from pootle to github; Chris Leonard has
  that in hand,

- each desired activity to be released; some of that I've been doing,
but the team asking for this must give us a list of activities,

- Sugar and Toolkit to be released; blocked on a maintainer, such as
Ignacio, releasing a point version like 0.110.1, maintenance being
an unresolved issue at this point,

- custom packages of Sugar and Toolkit to be released, usually by me
at OLPC, ... and it is possible to bypass the maintainer if there
  isn't one.

Chris is correct that a glibc locale file will be needed for any new
language. I'll need his advice on that!

You are correct that a custom SoaS build with updated translations
would be useful; I'll go further; it is the only way to get the new
translations into SoaS without waiting for the next Fedora release.
