Sugar is not a technology.  And the Sugar desktop's age is less than git,
javascript, C, HTML, DNS, IPv6, and lots of other things.  If there is one
thing I'd wish for pedagogical technology, it's that the Sugar UI design
principle[1] of "Low floor, no ceiling" continued to be worked on and enhanced.

If you have ever put a UI in front of kids you know how powerful and unique
Sugar's UI is.  Python is a key part of the current realization, and throwing
that away because it's "10 year[s] old" is madness[2,3].  Especially in the
face of its current[4] and future direction[5].
