I don't know how you could run sugar inside gdb exactly. Last time I had a
segfault at startup I resorted to a bunch of prints to figure out which
line was crashing (sigh). Maybe try something like this
Xephyr :100 &
export DISPLAY=:100
gdb dbus-launch
run sugar
