[Sugar-devel] trouble with building sugar-build on Ubuntu 12.10

I cannot get past building metacity

tabpopup.o: file not recognized: File truncated
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make[5]: *** [metacity] Error 1

Is this a known bug? I'm running on really old hardware, but I think
otherwise my Ubuntu install is current.
