I took a look at this and I have installed vte3-0.30.1-3.fc16.i386 in
my Fedora 16 what provides /usr/lib/girepository-1.0/Vte-2.90.typelib

That file is used when we do:

In [1]: from gi.repository import Vte

In [2]: Vte.__path__
Out[2]: '/usr/lib/girepository-1.0/Vte-2.90.typelib'

I checked this on Debian and Fedora 16 and it's the same path.

Does anybody test this patch on Fedora 16 and it works?
