I was right!(*) I knew that I'd already read this. Take a look at the
pep8 indentation section[1]
It says that to use 8 chars indentation we mustn't pass an argument to
the function on the first line and if we pass one (at least) to the
function we have to align it with the "(".

(*) you too, but the case that we are discussing is quite tricky ;)
PS: let me know if I'm misunderstanding the documentation, it's
another possibility
