  The sequence of instructions above is incorrect.  There should be
  something before and after the 65d.  I speculate this is only missing
  in mail, because these instructions cause an immediate General
  Protection Exception for me, before "boot" can be typed.

  Check that you are adding this line exactly as shown, and on the
  second line of the olpc.fth file?

  The serial numbers are one year apart.

  Does the same error happen with OLPC OS?

  If not, I suggest asking for dx3 help.
